WP 11: Environmental Protection Question Requirement.

This work package identifies environmental requirements desired to ensure mapping activities do not interfere with the existing ecosystem delivering a sustainable interrogation technology. The risks taken into consideration include; environmental, geological, health and safety risks. The technology equipment optical sensors are designed to have minimal or zero effect on aquatic organisms. Typical depths for the technology application will be at 6000m where minimal fauna and flora exist. Equipment harm to operators are also taken into consideration aiming at zero harm level.
