LIBS system ready for its journey to the Pacific Ocean

Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V (LZH) prepared the journey for the LIBS system and submitted all components to the GEOMAR. The GEOMAR is now taking care of the further transport to the port of destination, from which the research trip (SO268) will start next year.

Successful integration of the LIBS system into the pressure housing

Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V (LZH) has successful integrated the LIBS system into the pressure housing from ALS Marine Consultants. After the integration, first tests in a small water tank have been performed at the LZH. Furthermore the power supply and data communication with the ROV Kiel 600 from the GEOMAR has been validated successfully.
